I love date night. I love a meal and a movie. Okay, I also love Jude Law and Channing Tatum. And Channing Tatum’s washboard abs … but I digress. I’ve been wanting to see Side Effects since I heard it was Steven Soderbergh’s last movie (say it ain’t so!). Plus, Rooney Mara’s fashion sense has always fascinated me. Like Audrey Hephurn, she is waifish, beautiful, and distinct in her unique look. She also has an inner badass that I love.
Today, I’m going for a Sunday matinee. So, what to wear for date [afternoon] to see Soderbergh’s last stand? Hmm, let’s see …
Getting a new outfit for a date – really, is there anything better? I know most blogs show models in the latest Gucci, Prada, and BCBG prancing around in their daily styles (and I love those labels, don’t get me wrong), but you really don’t have to spend an arm and a leg (and the soul of your firstborn) to look like a million bucks.

I’m in love with their buyers. The Xhilaration line for Juniors is so stylish and has really come a long way from just plain old t-shirts for $6.99. I’m pairing my new Xhilaration Palazzo Pants (because I need a fashion break from skinny jeans) with a Converse Sweater. Do yourself a favor and peruse this section at your local Target. It looks like you spent way more than $45.00 on this outfit. And isn’t that the point?
To top it off, I’m wearing the BEARPAW Astoria Boot in Hickory because I’m obsessed with it. It gives my midget frame height, making me look thinner and longer, and they’re totally comfy while being fashionable. Did I say obsessed? Yes. Yes, I did.
