When Extra TV brought their cameras to the Jami Lynn boutique in Beverly Hills to tape a segment for its January 6, 2012 Friends Giveaway broadcast, anticipation was in the air. There was excitement over the fact that star Mario Lopez had specifically requested the show conduct an interview with BEARPAW, focusing on the celeb appeal that currently surrounds the brand. From Snooki and Jwoww of Jersey Shore fame to Katie Holmes, famous folks across the globe can be seen in BEARPAW boots and shoes, so it’s only natural that a hot, celeb-centric show like NBC’s Extra would want to cover the brand.

Karina Smirnoff brought her style and warmth to the BEARPAW Summer Blast Event, where the music was bumping and the BEARPAW boots were on display. The event took place Sunday, August 14 at Sportie LA, showcasing BEARPAW’s new styles, including the Alyeska designed by Karina herself. Most people don’t have very many things in common with Snooki. Unless you’ve been on an MTV reality show or arrested on the beach for “essentially disturbing the peace” (Associated Press), you’re probably not going to be compared to the “Jersey Shore” party girl.
Sookie Stackhouse, portrayed by Anna Paquin, from HBO’s popular vampire TV show, “True Blood,” was supposed to be the comparison we made to Snooki. Why? Well, her name bears a close resemblance to Snooki’s and, at the time, we were convinced she was also a BEARPAW enthusiast. But unfortunately, Sookie — the telepathic and photokinetic human fairy hybrid — has absolutely nothing in common with Jersey Shore’s Nicole Polizzi, nicknamed “Snooki” by her middle school peers.
