    Jamie Anderson Talks Winter X Games 2012 and BEARPAW Boots

    Professional snowboarder Jamie Anderson knows all about good footwear and gold medals — and it shines in her recent win at the Winter X Games in Aspen. We took some time to speak with the champion slopestyle rider about her passion for the sport and, of course, her love for all things BEARPAW. The only American to enter Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle at Winter X Games, Jamie won her third gold medal in Aspen on January 27 (she also took top honors in 2007 and 2008, won a Silver in 2010 and a Bronze in 2011). “I worked hard all summer and fall,” Jamie said. “I live in lake Tahoe and I am just an active kind of girl. I love to mountain bike, hike, paddle board, swim, practice yoga and run. I also like to eat local organic foods and drink plenty of water to stay healthy and fit.” Read More | Comments

    The Surrogate, Beasts of the Southern Wild, and Sleepwalk with Me are just a few of the films that won awards and generated buzz, as BEARPAWstyle spent the week chilling in snowy Park City, Utah (“chilling,” get it? HA!) at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

    Our team was keeping VIPs warm in BEARPAWs at the Fender Music Lodge: we’ve always had our share of celebrity BEARPAW fans, and I dare say we picked up a few more this week!     New executive brings decades of experience to successful overseas business

    BEARPAW Footwear announced today the hiring of Richard Marten as the new Vice President of International Business Development for the company.

    As part of BEARPAW Footwear’s plans for growth and expansion this year, Marten will lead the charge in expanding BEARPAW’s presence in foreign markets where the company does not currently have brand penetration. In addition to managing BEARPAW’s current global distribution network, Marten will work directly with the product development and marketing teams to develop a global strategy that allows BEARPAW’s partners to act on a local needs basis.

    Joy Zwolak is mother to 11 beautiful children: Maddie, Maryse, Mia, Makayla, Muhammed, Heaven, Maleana, Monet, Mycole, Maggie, and Junior.  After leaving an abusive relationship, she got a job as a waitress at IHOP.  Late one night, Rebecca Lassiter, a blogger who writes for One More Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, walked into Joy’s IHOP with her fiancé.  They noticed that Joy, at 8 months pregnant, worked harder than anyone else, and made everyone smile with her kindness and generous spirit.  This one interaction with Joy formed a bond between her and Rebecca ever since.     Facebook and Twitter Giveaway Followed by Holiday CD

    On Friday evening, December 10, BEARPAW rewarded 1000 of its Facebook friends and Twitter followers by giving away free boots and shoes. The announcement was made at about 6pm EST, and by early morning, the BEARPAW faithful had claimed their gifts.

    Response to the offering was so strong that BEARPAW has followed up the gesture with the creation of a Holiday CD featuring up-and-coming pop/R&B artist T Coles. The CD, which will be given to Facebook friends, Twitter followers, and brand VIPs, is comprised of 8 original tracks. Read More | Comments
